It’s been forever.
maybe I’ll start posting again! I’m sorry I’ve been gone for so long. I’m sorry to all the people who check this.
I plan on actually writing things in the near future. Once my life slows down a bit, (which it won’t.)
Things I’ve done recently:
-Got my foodsafe level 1 certification today! woooo!
-Am trying to juggle singing, dancing and memorizing lines (a full 20% of the lines in the whole play) for my lead role in my school’s musical production
-Attempting to wrassle my band into shape. The Neighborhood Milkman. (You better not steal that name.)
-Being embarrassed in math class.
-Lined up all my candidates for prom dates. A sense of relief washes over me.
- Got a planner! wooo!
- somehow joined Grad Committee, with no idea why I would do that
- Put a peice in an art show

I havent posted in forever
I’d like to say I was too busy, but I was not
I just feel like a procrastinating hedonist lately…
…one of my spraypaint cans just made a really weird noise next to me… I hope it doesn’t explode…
Sooo I have about three english assignments to do
but I just CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO
because they’re awful and boring… But I’m almost failing English 11. So I need to do them.
You know, I’m not bad at english. I’m actually really, really good at it. But my english teacher is so.. ugh. She doesn’t give a shit about teaching. So how can I give a shit about her class?
Ugh. my life.

Creative Rut

I seem to be in a bit of a creative rut lately. Drawing , sewing, spraypainting, music-writing, baking… really.. I just don’t know what to do with myself.

Drawing.. it’s going ok. But lately I just don’t know WHAT to draw. which carries over to my spraypainting, I don’t know what to paint at all. And I can’t design anything… And I’m not about to go out and waste paint on just messing around. I LOVE MY PAINTS. preservation.
Composing isn’t going well. I can’t think of a catchy theme to save my life.
Baking.. well I have the supplies set out for a cake, but I have no reason to make a cake, and no ideas to decorate one. I was going to make one for grace last month. But that fell through. And that is why the cake supplies are out.
SEWING! I just stepped into my sewing room to once again figure out what to do with this beautiful bodice:

Put it with the lovely skirt I made and put for sale on Etsy… (no one ever bought it)

I want to do a black skirt like this for the bodice. But I have no black fabric.
Oh, screw this.
Back to watching Chuck.

Blogging… The longer you put it off, that harder it is to come back to. hurr. nothing really interesting has happened. I’m just never at home. really. and at school all the time.

I ordered some paints, and they came in. They’re beautiful.
I also have a practice wall in my backyard now- which is a mega win.

toyish, i know, but i only did it to test it out.

Annndd my back is sore from lugging around a 40 lb. backpack around yesterday… I went painting with Tim for the first time, taught him how to do some basics, and he loves it.
Ughhh I’m supposed to record my band test today (scales on trumpet) But I dont feel like it… ship.

IN OTHER NEWS

I came home today to three progressively angrier phone messages from a stranger with the wrong number. soo funny.

Message 1. (Saturday): Hi, this is for Doreen, this is ____ calling. I’m calling about my rent. I need my rent back for this october because you kicked us out on september… um.. I moved out september 30th but I didn’t get my rent money because I need it for my new place… you can reach me on my mother’s cell phone, ________, thank you

Message 2. (Monday): Hi, this is a message for Doreen… um.. just to let yu know, I have a right to have my October rent money back and I do need it back. Can you PLEASE give me a call at ____.

Message 3. (Monday): (odd laughter) You guys, like, don’t even work, so… my guess is the only reason why you wanna keep my rent is to pocket it yourself. You kicked us out on September 30th, I been out on the 30th. I am trying to get a bloody place, and if I don’t get my rent money back, then.. you.. we’re both gonna have bloody problems. Doreen, I know you get these bloody messages, I want my money back NOW!

Sooo my dad called and was like… you’re phoning the wrong number… and she was like… “Oh! sorry.”
awkward.

Also we got this weird jibberish message from a man and it sounded like Cree or something. so odd.

a sheer habit of laziness i have developed:
back in july, I got a new cordless phone for the house from my mom. I wanted this because the current one’s call display was broken, and I find it difficult to answer the phone if I don’t know whose voice I’ll hear on the other end before I pick it up. Anyhow, I got this phone home, plugged it in, and was too lazy to remove the other phone from the table. But I quickly realized that the new phone doesn’t have call display at all. WHAT? so my getting of a new phone was quite pointless indeed.

Anyhow, both phones remained plugged into the electrical outlet. However, there is only one phone jack near the phones. so this is the setup:

and this is what happens:

1. light phone rings

2. I take light phone to desk across hall and leave it there when i am finished with it

3. I never put it back, and it dies because it has a very poor battery span

4. A few days later, I want to call someone, but I have to charge phone first

5. instead of waiting for it to charge, i simply switch the phone that’s plugged into the jack

6. I charge light phone and use dark phone, which is fully charged because i never unplug the electrical outlet

7.I leave dark phone at my desk and it dies

8. the cycle continues
